EMI CPS Emitron Camera type 10678

This is the studio version of the EMI CPS Emitron camera that was introduced in 1956 and used by the BBC. The BBC ordered 17 of these cameras, as reported in Practical TV August 1956. It is complete with the overall one piece lens hood.

This example was photographed at the British National Media Museum, Bradford in September 2015.

The 10678B was for 405 lines and the 10678C was for 625 lines.
