This first generation shoulder mount colour camera has the camera body behind the shoulder. With 1" Plumbicon tubes the mounting position was a compromise. The later LDK15L version was carried in front of the shoulder, again a difficult position, it was not until the availability of smaller tubes that the cameras became more manageable.

 

The camera was based on the LDK5 with minimal electronics in the camera head, a hip pack was used which connected to a PPU (portable processing unit) this in turn connected to the LDK5 base station reception unit.
