Pye Television Camera 1947

One of the two cameras used with its 4 wheel dolly and a ingenious stowage arrangement of the camera cable.

The camera operator at the control desk had control of the electrical focus as well as the optical focus which used a selsyn motor system. Note also the "gunsight" for the cameraman to frame the shot.

Two complete cameras and dollies folded up and fitted in the rear door of the Humber shooting brake car**.

** A shooting brake car would be described today as an estate car or SUV.
