Pye (84) 2018 2021 Television Camera

Pye (84) 2018 & 2021 Television Camera Yoke view.
In this picture the camera is upside-down to show the scanning yoke and power supply.

The focus knob moves the staticon tube and yoke assembly forwards and backwards by a rack and pinion mechanism, the lens being fixed.

Just behind the yoke is the gray finned selenium HT rectifier** and above it two brown tubes that are the selenium rectifiers for the tube wall anode voltage at about 700v DC. At the rear is the mains power transformer with a magnetic shield around it.

** When these cameras were made in the early 1950s, silicon rectifiers had not been invented yet!
