Marconi MkVIII Television Camera operational control panel, type B3220

This OCP panel would have been installed as one of a group of panels in the studio control area. If the Iris & lift knob is pressed down a micro switch operates to switch that cameras picture to the engineers monitor.

The panel is robustly made and the iris and lift control operates smoothly, at least as any did in that time.

The Marconi designers put a lot of thought into the design and an indication of this is the connector can be set at various angles to suit the desk it would be installed in.
