RCA "Walkie Lookie" Portable Television Camera

RCA "Walkie Lookie" Portable Television Camera

This camera, dated to 1951, is described in the RCA Review, March 1952. There it is called a Developmental Portable Television Pickup Station.

It was fully independent, sending sound and vision back to the receiving control point via a 593.96Mc/s 2 watt radio transmitter. The return control signal locked the camera so that it could be cut and mixed like a cable camera.
