Marconi MkIB Television Camera.
This is the top of the camera with the viewfinder removed. In the
center of the chassis is the scanning yoke for the 3 inch Image Orthicon
tube.
For focusing it slides forwards and backwards on the two rods.
There
is no I.O. tube fitted in this picture. In the foreground there is the
connector, with two coaxial sockets, for the viewfinder.
This is the same viewfinder mounting as the later MkII camera. Vintage photographs often show a MkII viewfinder on a MkI camera, or vice versa.
